As our Acting Workgroup Leader, Tree Maintenance, you will be inspired to proactively lead a team of experienced arborists to effectively complete tree maintenance work including tree removals and working safely at heights. An awesome workday for you could include:
The Role
- Leading, motivating and guiding arborists to complete tree maintenance and management initiatives including block tree pruning, removal of trees, planting, root pruning, herbicide and pesticide use and litter control
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure prompt action of tree maintenance activities and requests
- Ensuring the delivery of a prompt and efficient tree maintenance service to customers within City of Charles Sturt
- Using your knowledge, experience and skills to solve problems, make decisions and contribute to new initiatives
- Focusing on culture and workplace safety
About You:
- Are experienced in leading the successful delivery of tree management and maintenance projects
- Are a genuine leader, you thrive when leading, motivating and guiding others to do their best!
- Are organised, coordinating rosters, scheduling services, managing budgets and overseeing projects comes easy to you!
- A people person, communicating and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders excites you!
- Eager to develop proficiency in business systems such as Microsoft Office, CiAnywhere and Content Manager.
- You are reliable/dependable and can show up day in day out for your team
- A problem solver, you can prioritise and problem solve with ease!
- Possess an MR truck licence, Certificate III in Arboriculture or Horticulture, White Card and a High Risk Work Licence
- You must be available from Wednesday 1 July until Tuesday 4th of August in order to complete this assignment
This role is a level MO4 starting salary of $3,648.80 per fortnight.
